Patterns, Poles, Precision

School is out and winter is the perfect time to slow things down and sharpen the fundamentals. This clinic focuses on precision and correct basics through thoughtfully designed flat pole patterns that develop both horse and rider. Flat ground pole work encourages horses to think, stay soft, and move correctly. Riders will gain a deeper understanding of how small adjustments in position, timing and feel create big improvements in overall performance. Ideal for current students/clients. Preteens and teens event. Lesson horses are available first come, first serve. $85 per rider. Includes lunch and drinks, two hours of ride time and tack/grooming time.

Valentine’s Brunch Ride

Gather your girlfriends and enjoy a fun-filled afternoon at the ranch! Our 3rd annual Valentine’s Day Brunch ride is back and since it falls on the actual holiday this year, it is going to be bigger and better than ever! Enjoy a guided trail ride across 200+ acres of scenic trails, play on our trail obstacle course, and wrap up the ride with friends with a fireside brunch and drinks in a relaxed social setting, Horse rentals are available on a first come, first serve basis for an additional fee.

This clinic is designed for riders who want to develop real, usable cow skills that translate directly to everyday ranch work. The focus is on slow, methodical stockman ship - prioritizing accuracy, feel, timing, and correct positioning over speed or pressure. Riders will learn how to read cattle, understand movement and balance and set up high-percentage shots. We emphasize thoughtful cattle handling, helping both horse and rider to learn to think through a job, stay organized and work efficiently. SOLD OUT

This clinic is designed specifically for green horses and young prospects who are just beginning their obstacle education. Working in hand, we will focus on building a solid foundation rooted in confidence, trust, and clear communication between the horse and handler. Through slow, methodical progression, participants will learn how to introduce obstacles in a way that develops curiosity rather than tension, Emphasis will be placed on correct positioning, timing and feel allowing the horse to think, process and gain confidence at their own pace.

Due to high interest, we are excited to offer this Trail Exposure Clinic designed for horses and riders who need a thoughtful, supportive introduction to working outside the arena. This clinic is ideal for anxious or tense horses, riders seeking more confidence, or teams struggling with separation anxiety, mental overload or uncertainty in new environments. The focus will be on slowing both the feet and the mind, developing trust and helping horse and rider learn how to regulate stress while navigating real world situations. Participants will work through progressive trail scenarios with an emphasis on feel, timing and correct decision making. Whether your challenge is leaving the group, riding alone, or simply feeling more secure on the trail this clinic allows space to address those needs. This will be run in a small group setting with ample 1:1 instruction, allowing each rider and horse to work through individual goals while benefiting from group exposure and shared learning.

Unwind from your week and enjoy a fun filled afternoon with a trail ride followed by a grazing table and drinks@ Explore over 200 acres of trails, and play on our trail obstacle course. Two trainers available to help if you need a confidence boost. We do have a simple creek crossing for exposure. This is a great event for green horses or green riders or to meet and ride with a great group of equine enthusiasts.

Designed to introduce horses and riders to the fundamentals of ranch roping in a controlled, confidence-building environment.Whether your horse is new to the rope or you are looking to refine your setup and timing, this clinic focuses on correct foundations, thoughtful exposure and accuracy. Participants will work on safely exposing horses to the rope, building and understanding and relaxation around movement, swing, and delivery. Instruction will cover different shots, proper positioning, and how to set up for high-percentage shots that support consistency and confidence rather than speed. We will provide ropes.

Clinic & Event Policies

Please note that events are posted on our Facebook page first. Many clinics sell out quickly-often within 45 minutes to a few days. We strongly encourage you to follow our social media accounts to stay up to date on upcoming events and registration announcements.

KPH Horses are available on a first-come, first-serve basis and will incur an additional fee of $15 per horse for weekly students or $25 per horse for non-weekly students.

Saturday events will be rescheduled to the following Sunday in the event of inclement weather.

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to hold your spot. The remaining balance is due the day of the clinic. No refunds will be issued for cancellations.

All participants must sign a liability waiver prior to mounting. A current negative coggins is required for all horses.

Events

We host a calendar full of events year round at KPH. Any time the schedule allows, Kim’s passion for event planning comes to surface. Running successful events however, take a village. Will and Kim’s families are heavily involved when it comes to events at the ranch from creating an idea and how to execute it to preparing the event site to planning a menu and cooking.

We host equestrian and social events such as Morning Brunch Rides, Yoga at the Ranch, Fun Day Shows, Moonlite Rides, Campfires, Cookouts, Pond Parties and more! All events are posted on our Facebook and Instagram pages. Check there for more details and upcoming events!
