What we offer:

  • At Kupec Progressive Horsemanship, we offer horsemanship training specializing in colt starting and problem horses. KPH has created a unique training program that molds to the specific needs of your horse. We believe that the starting process is the most important time of a horse’s life. With our program, your horse will build a solid foundation with a positive and trustful mindset, a willingness to learn and reliable direction that will carry through their lifetime. Will and Kim both teach lessons to all ages and riding Disciplines. At KPH, we have a very active teenager program with camps, clinics, shows and more! Outside guests are welcome to sign up for our clinic series offered in the Spring and Fall months. However, we do not rent our horses or offer trail rides to the public here, we apologize.

Aside from training, KPH raises half-draft ranch horses. We began our breeding program in 2021 with the purchase of our Gypsy Vanner stallion KPH Crowned n Dignified. Will and Kim fell in love with the Gypsy Quarter Horses due to their athleticism, versatility, confirmation and temperament. We will be offering weanlings for sale yearly. Keep watching our page for updates as we expand our herd in the coming months and years!

  • At KPH we believe that the starting process is the most important time in a horse’s life. By Creating a solid foundation, your young horse will have a positive and trustful mindset, a willingness to learn and reliable direction that will carry through their lifetime. All breeds and riding disciplines are welcome. We have trained everything from cow ponies and mules to FEI Dressage horses and Grand Prix Hunter Jumpers.

Our program is intended to mold around the horse, not molding the horse to our program.

We require a minimum of 60 days training for colt starts. Training fees include 5-6 days of work per week, one weekly lesson with the owner, boarding, grain 2x a day, unlimited hay and blanketing.

We recommend booking early as we typically book a few months out.

  • We are firm believers that in order to be a balanced rider, you must have a balanced horse. We have an array of lesson horses that will challenge students to work on proper leg and hand aids or, bring your own and be able to grow together in establishing a balanced partnership. Our goal for you as a KPH student would be to shift your riding to your seat (not your hands) and to be able to maneuver your horse solely from your legs and light, minimal feel of the reins. All disciplines are welcome! Once we have established a balanced horse and rider, you will be able to ride any discipline you desire. We specialize in the following:

    • Western & Classical Dressage

    • Stockmanship

    • Horsemanship

    • Showmanship

    • Ranch Riding

At KPH, we have a very active teenager program and we travel to local shows for the experience and exposure. Contact us to check our availability and to secure a lesson time!

  • Clinics provide a hands-on learning experience encouraging a deeper bond between the horse and rider. Our clinics are designed to cater to all skill levels from novice to advance. We run many clinics throughout the Spring and Fall months. Follow us on our Facebook page to view upcoming clinics!

    • Trail Obstacle Clinics

    • Stockmanship 1 & 2 - tracking, sorting, ranch roping and field work with cattle.

    • Horsemanship 1 & 2 - groundwork fundamentals in the morning followed by an afternoon session under saddle

Event planning is a passion for the owner, Kim. KPH offers a full calendar of events from riding events to social and family events. Follow our Facebook page for upcoming events and details!

  • KPH offers pasture board only. Each pasture is well maintained, with minimal trees, dragged and mowed regularly and reseeded twice a year for proper equine nutrition. Grain, feeding 2x a day, round bales with hay huts, blanketing 2x a day and applying client provided fly spray and grazing muzzles are included. We currently feed ProElite feeds which are included (Performance, Growth, Starchwise, Senior, Grass Advantage). Feeding of supplements you provide are also included. Horses are fed in a routine that allows them to get all their required feed, supplements and meds without fighting with other horses through feed stations, feed masks or temporary stalls. The horses care is our priority! With years of owning equine and multiple years in the vet tech field, we are very knowledgable in injuries and illnesses.

We offer miles of riding trails that are professionally cleaned twice a year, trail obstacle course that will be renovated in 2024, small herd of cattle, 100x200 lighted arena and more!

If you are interested, please schedule a visit with us. While you see all that we have to offer, and get all of your questions answered, we will get a sense of whether this is the right home for you and your horse. A drama free environment is what we strive for and this process helps us find the right candidate.

  • We breed Gypsy Vanner Quarter Horse crosses. We added our stallion KPH Crowned n Dignified aka Declan to our herd in 2021. Declan has been bred to performance and foundation bred quarter horse mares with his first foal crop in early 2023. Our goal with breeding this cross is to produce athleticism, versatility, good minds and unique markings. He has proven to produce exactly what we had hoped for and more. We are incredibly excited for this journey and to be able to offer Gypsy Crosses on the East Coast. Check out our breeding page and facebook page for information on available foals!

Declan is used as a main working horse on our ranch from being a saddle horse and teaching clinics to competing in dressage and ranch shows.
